My name is Gordon Pongratz and I am your proud principal of this great school. New Horizons is a center school located in Bay County, Fl and we serve the entire county. It is my wish that every student that comes on our campus knows that they are loved and are in a safe place. We work extremely hard at working with our students and our parents to provide everything they need at school and outside of school. I have an open-door policy and gladly invite any parent or guardian to come in and visit or just stop by to say hello. My direct office number is 850-767-1113 and I look forward to hearing from you.
We have an awesome Mentor Program at New Horizons that is a game changer for many of our students. We have Mentors from all the local Military bases, businesses, retired workers and churches. At this time, we are able to pair up any child that has signed up to receive a Mentor. We have Mentors on campus on Tuesday and Thursday, however we are very flexible and will work around anyone that wants to Mentor schedule. Please reach out to Laura Dever at 850-767-1130 if you are ready to make a difference and invest in someone’s future.
Parents, I encourage you to be a part of our School Advisory Council (SAC), we meet throughout the year and look for your input. This is a chance for your voice to be heard and be a parent leader among your peers. Our SAC makes decisions that that will affect your child and we would love to have those meetings maxed out and full of useful input.
I look forward to working with many of you and I will continue to put what is best for your student at the forefront of every decision that is made at New Horizons. We truly want to continue with our mission of growing our students academically, socially and emotionally to give our students their best opportunities for the real world.
